Info Tech, Inc. and Ontario Good Roads Association Partner to Promote e-Construction

GAINESVILLE, Fla. & OAKVILLE, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) and Info Tech, Inc. (Info Tech) announce an agreement to promote e-Construction initiatives for Canada. The Florida-based software firm and the venerable Association are teaming up to provide workshops, training, materials, and implementation support to OGRA members in technologies and services related to electronic tendering, paperless construction and contract administration. The partners also offer workshops on bid market analysis to facilitate competition and detect collusion or bid rigging.

Government agencies spend billions each year on infrastructure construction, with a significant portion of that lost to administrative costs, inefficiencies and fraud. Info Tech has more than 40 years’ experience building software and providing expertise to public agencies and their contracting community. Info Tech’s integrated tools and services improve the full construction cycle from estimation to payment, streamlining processes and eliminating waste. With OGRA’s long history of service, consultation and training for Ontario municipalities, the partnership supports the advancement of e-Construction in the Province, resulting in better performance on infrastructure projects, prompt payment to contractors, and significant savings to taxpayers.

“Info Tech has been providing secure, trusted software and services to North American transportation agencies longer than any other company,” said Will McClave, President, Systems, Info Tech. “We look forward to our new opportunities supporting the Ontario Good Roads Association and its members.”

“OGRA is constantly striving to promote innovation in the municipal sector,” said Joe Tiernay, Executive Director, OGRA. “After a thorough review of Info Tech’s products and services we are very excited with this partnership and bringing these products to our members.”

Through this partnership OGRA provides its members and the broader construction community access to the most up-to-date knowledge base of training tools and materials and industry information and services to improve e-Construction initiatives. Its members will learn what is available and how to put the tools and services to use from Info Tech’s experienced and successful staff.
