We had a project go to claim on a time issue. We had to see how much time impacted the contractor due to weather. With the search function in Appia, I can go in and say ‘weather days’ and quickly pull it up. That helped with the claim process.
We were disputing cost analyses. He wanted $500,000 over about a dozen items, I was at around $300,000 over the same items. I was able to go back through the diaries and the photo log in order to resolve it, so it really helped quite a bit. In this case, it amounted to probably $100,000 in savings. We ended up at $400,000.
