Powering LPA projects and bids statewide

This dashboard displays all of the current projects in Ohio that are powered by Infotech solutions for construction administration, inspection, and bidding. With two-thirds of the state’s LPAs already capturing project data through Infotech solutions, unifying that data into a single database view unlocks statewide visibility and streamlined oversight.

How we collaborate with Ohio DOT

Streamlining LPA bidding processes

By creating pre-built, pre-approved templates in Bid Express, the agency can standardize and centralize LPA bidding statewide, resulting in improved oversight and compliance. A master items list and materials requirements are also embedded in the software to further streamline the bidding process.

Standardizing state reference data

Ohio DOT leverages Collections, Appia’s Centralized Reference Data functionality, to manage, update, and sort reference data items, materials, and worksheets into a statewide Collection that LPA account holders can access and use for project setup, change orders, and materials management.

Integrating LPA data with AASHTOWare Project™

Infotech developed a data bridge from Bid Express to AASHTOWare Project to ensure local bid data flows into the software. With state and local bid data in the same connected system, Ohio DOT can use that information to drive bid and market analysis.

Improving the efficiency of mobile inspections

Ohio DOT uses Infotech’s Mobile Inspector solution to streamline the collection of field data that integrates seamlessly with AASHTOWare Project. Mobile Inspector also integrates with Appia, so inspectors who work with the DOT and LPAs are familiar with the app functionality.
