Infotech® Unveils AI-Powered Bid Intelligence Suite to Drive Precision in Civil Construction Bidding

New functionality begins a move from volume-based searching to precision bidding

January 8, 2026 — Gainesville, Fla. — Infotech, a leader in infrastructure construction software solutions, today announced the launch of Bid Intelligence, a powerful suite of tools designed to help contractors bid smarter on civil construction projects. Available now on Infotech’s state and local bidding platforms, Bid Intelligence will transform how contractors identify, analyze, and win new work.

“For nearly five decades, Infotech has built the products that continue to transform the civil infrastructure industry,” said Karoliina Torttila, Senior Director of AI for Infotech.”Bid Intelligence reflects that same focus. With this launch, we’re moving the industry away from hours of manual searching and toward a more precise, insight-driven approach to bidding, while laying a foundation we’ll continue to build on.”

Bid Intelligence introduces three AI-driven capabilities that work together to streamline the early stages of the bidding process:

  • Recommender: Transforms a contractor’s 12-month bidding history into a predictive engine. Every Monday, the system delivers the top three opportunities that match the contractor’s preferred work type and location.
  • Tagger: Automatically analyzes and tags proposals with specific work intent and asset types (e.g., new construction or roadway). This allows users to filter large lettings instantly without opening each individual proposal in search of that information.
  • Summarizer: Uses AI to scan all attached documents and generate a concise project overview in seconds, providing instant context even when agency descriptions are vague.

“Instead of asking contractors to search harder or faster, we designed Bid Intelligence to surface what matters most,” Torttila said. “By turning a contractor’s own bidding history into an analytical signal, we’re looking to help them reduce noise, move faster, and make more confident decisions earlier in the process.”

The release comes at a pivotal time, as AI adoption in the construction industry is soaring, fueled by demonstrable efficiency gains in bidding and project management.  AI usage among construction professionals jumped from less than 10% in 2020 to more than 40% in 2025, according to the 2025 NBS Digital Construction Report.

The Bid Intelligence suite is being unveiled at the 105th Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., the 2026 gathering hosted by the leading organization in transportation research worldwide. Infotech will be providing live demonstrations of Bid Intelligence in Booth #953 at the event.

As of January 5, 2026, contractors on Infotech’s state and local bidding platforms can access a limited-time free trial of these features. For more information on how tomorrow gets built, visit infotechinc.com.
