Info Tech, Inc. and University of Florida College of Engineering partner on mobile project

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – October 3, 2014 Info Tech, Inc. announced today that the company will sponsor a team with the Integrated Product and Process Design (IPPD) program at the University of Florida College of Engineering. The team will be tasked with developing a prototype mobile application for material sample and test data collection in highway construction projects.

"With this project, we are seeking to gain a better understanding about how mobile technologies can be applied to make the work of field-based engineers and inspectors more efficient," said Bob DeHoff, Info Tech's Director of Research and Development and the Primary Liaison for the project.

Info Tech previously participated in the IPPD program. The student team produced an early version of what is today the Info Tech Mobile Inspector™ app used by state transportation agencies to collect daily report data using mobile devices.

"We were encouraged by the success of our first project with the IPPD program and we look forward to working with the students and faculty again," said Dr. Thomas P. Rothrock, Info Tech, Inc. President.
